Ellie

Dear Cindy,

Elliot who we call “Ellie” is an 8 year old British Golden Retriever.  Ellie lives with me and my husband in Westchester, New York. Our Ellie seems very depressed.  He is moping around , doesn’t want to play, and he’s also sleeping a lot. The Vet says he’s in great physical shape, but we are still so worried. I saw your blog and hoped you could help us.  Can you tell us if Elliot is happy?

Signed,
Concerned Mom

Elliot

Dear Mom,

Your Ellie is a handsome dog! The first thing he says is that he’s concerned for a family member. He says that his favorite person is away too much and that he can feel how tired this person is…I get that it’s a young man. He said that he is worried that his boy is working too hard, not taking care of himself and not coming home enough. He is afraid that his boy will suffer from fatigue and he might get sick. Ellie wants his boy to come home; he says he knows how to take care of him!

Who is Ellie’s boy?

Best,
Cindy

Dear Cindy,

John my son is Ellie’s boy. He is living in NYC. He just passed the bar exam and got his first job as a lawyer in the DA’s office. John and Ellie have a special connection and it’s as if Ellie waits for him. I have never connected with Ellie like John has. Now, this all makes sense! Thank you so much! We will speak with John and see how soon he can come home to visit with us.

Many thanks!
Relieved Mom

Dear Mom,

Please share my blog Mental Postcards with John; it will help Ellie stay connected. Tell John he needs to come home for an Ellie healing! LOL! Keep me posted!

Best,
Cindy

Jolie’s Story

JolieJolie was a new resident at the pit bull rescue. They thought she was around six-years -old. It was clear to see by looking at her that she had been used as a breeding machine. Her nipples sagged inches away from her body and her sweet face reflected much sadness and stress. Her breeding days had left many scars, both physical and mental.
